The Cannes Film Festival 2016, will be have George Miller as President of Jury, Laurent Lafitte as a master of ceremonies (From the "Comedie Francaise"), and the official poster gives a tribute to Jean-Luc Godard. The selection unveils 49 out of 1869 features from 28 countries with 20 in competition
The Cannes Film Festival 2016, will have George Miller as President of Jury, Laurent Lafitte as a master of ceremonies (From the "Comedie Francaise"), and the official poster gives a tribute to Jean-Luc Godard. The opening is exceptional with Woody Allen´s latest film "Café Society " screened on May 11 with to start up the Festival. Thierry Fremeaux General Manager and Pierre Lescure the President of Cannes Festival have announced the Film Festival official selection on the raw of 69th Cannes 2016. 49 films were selected for the selection, amongst the 1869 features movies from 28 countries that were seen by the team. So there are 20 films in competition and 17 in "Un Certain Regard" and 5 Special Screenings. The great novelty in the course of the festival is the film winner of the Grand "Palme d'Or" (Golden Palm) will be screened as a closing film the last day.
